Why has www.xghajra.gov.mt been set up?

www.xghajra.gov.mt is the website of the Xghajra Local Council. As part of the e-government program the Government has asked all Local Councils to set up a website to be in line with the electronic policy.

What can I find on the Website?

The latest news items on the Council and the Locality can be found on the homepage. On the website one can also find specific information about the Council and the Locality and general information about the site and links particularly the Government Portal.

How can I find the information I am looking for?

The specific information about the Council and the Locality are placed in the main navigation bar along with links to the Contact Us. Information about the Council and its work is placed in the Council section while information relating to the locality can be found under Locality. There are sections which will help you find what you need easily.

Can I contact the council through the site?

Using the Contact Us one can send feed back to the Council. Please make sure you send us the contact information needed so that we can reply to your request. Personal Information provided is covered by the Data Protection Act and your privacy is respected. See the Privacy Policy for more details.

Where is the general information about the site?

At the foot of each page there are links, showing over a blue background, that direct you to the Help, Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, Accessibility Statement, Copyright and FAQs webpages of the xghajra local council site. The other links point to external webpages to other useful government websites, these being GOV.MT (http://www.gov.mt) and CIMU (http://www.cimu.gov.mt). The LINKS page is a dedicated mini portal that directs to other useful sites, all the respective links open in new browser windows.
